법정까지 가고 싶지 않았습니다.하지만, 어쩔 수 없었습니다. I didn’t want to go to court. But, there is no other way.
오늘, 싸이월드제트 등 3개 회사를 상대로 서울중앙지방법원에 ‘암호화폐 발행 등의 업무방해금지 등 가처분 신청’을 제출했습니다. 저와 베타랩스가 법적으로 갖고 있는 암호화폐 등의 발행, 유통, 상장, 수익 분배에 관한 독점적 지위를 인정하고 싸이월드 메인넷 개발을 위한 업무를 더 이상 방해하지 말라는 법원의 명령을 얻어내기 위해서입니다. 동시에 싸이월드제트 측이 새로운 코인을 발행하는 등 별도의 블록체인 사업을 벌이는 것을 막아달라는 가처분 신청입니다.
순리대로, 정의롭게, 공정하게 문제를 풀고 싶었습니다. 법정으로 가는 것은 최후의 수단이라고 생각하여 참고 인내하며 해결책을 찾아 왔습니다. 그러나 최근 유저 여러분과 투자자 여러분을 불안하게 만드는 일들이 계속 발생하고 있습니다. 싸이월드의 제대로 된 부활을 위해서라도 이 같은 상황을 더 이상 지켜보고만 있어서는 안 된다는 결론에 도달했습니다.
저의 개인적 이해관계만 생각하면, 얼마든지 쉽게 풀어낼 수 있는 편법적인 수단도 많이 있을 겁니다. 실제로, ‘그렇게 하라’고 충고하는 사람들, ‘그렇게 해야 한다’고 강요하는 사람들도 있습니다. 하지만 제가 그런 결정을 내릴 경우, 피해는 고스란히 유저와 투자자 여러분께 돌아갈 것입니다. 제 양심이 그런 일을 결코 허락하지 않습니다. 정도를 걸으며 정정당당하게 문제를 풀고, 가장 정의로운 결과를 얻어내기 위해 법정으로 갈 수밖에 없었습니다.
쉬운 싸움이 되지 않을 것이라는 점, 길고 험난한 길이 앞에 놓여있다는 사실도 잘 알고 있습니다. 유저 여러분, 투자자 여러분이 저의 동지이고, 저와 함께 싸이월드의 새로운 미래를 열어 나갈 동반자이십니다. 모쪼록, 오늘의 어려운 결정을 지지해 주시고 함께 해주시기 바랍니다. 저는 정의를 믿고, 여러분을 믿습니다. 감사합니다.

I didn’t want to go to court. But, there is no other way.
Today, I have submitted an ‘application for injunction on prohibition of obstruction of business, such as issuing cryptocurrency,’ to the Seoul Central District Court against three companies, including CyworldZ. This is to obtain a court order to recognize that I and BetaLabs have legally the monopoly status of the issuance, distribution, listing, and profit distribution of cryptocurrency and asking others not to interfere with the work of developing the Cyworld mainnet any more. At the same time, it is an application for injunction to prevent CyworldZ from conducting a separate blockchain business, such as issuing new coins.
I wanted to solve problems in an orderly, just, and fair manner. I thought going to court was a last resort, so I endured patiently and tried to come up with a solution. However, events continued to occur that made users and investors uneasy. I have come to the conclusion that for the proper revival of Cyworld, I must not stand by watching this situation any longer.
Considering my personal interests, there are probably many expedient means that can solve the issue easily. There are those who advised me to ‘do it that way’ and others who forced me to ‘do it that way’. However, if I make such a decision, the damage will be passed on to you, users and investors. My conscience never permits such a thing. I had no choice but to go to court to solve problems fairly and obtain the most just outcome.
I know it will not be an easy dispute, and I know that there is a long and difficult road ahead. Users and investors are my comrades and partners who will open up a new future for Cyworld with me. I hope that you will support me in today’s difficult decision and stand by me. I believe in justice, and I believe you. Thank you.

我不想对簿公堂，但却身不由己。
今天我们向首尔中央地方法院提交了对包括CyWorld Z在内的三家公司, “有关禁止发行虚拟货币等妨碍业务的禁令申请”。这是为了认证我以及Beta Labs Co., Ltd.公司在法律上拥有合法且独家的发行、流通、上市虚拟货币以及收益分配的权利，同时也是为了今后Cyworld主网的开发不再受到干扰而获得的法院明令。 另外，它还是一项以阻止CyWorld Z进行单独的区块链业务，例如发行新代币的禁令申请。
我希望能以有序、公正、公平的方式去解决问题。认为不到迫不得已是不愿对簿公堂的，所以我始终耐心忍耐着去寻找一个解决办法。但是，由于最近频繁发生令用户和投资者感到不安的事情。 最终，为了CyWorld能顺利地复活，我们决定不再袖手旁观。
如果仅从我个人利益的得失来考虑的话，其实是有很多可以轻松解决问题的方法的。事实上，有些人建议我“那样做”，或有些人强迫我“必须那样做”。但是，如果我一旦做出那样的决定，最后蒙受损失的只会是用户和投资者们。我的良心上是绝不允许这样的事情发生。所以我只好诉诸法庭，希望以公平公正地方式解决问题，希望能获得最公正的结果。
我很清楚，这不会是一场轻松的战役，漫长且艰险的道路就摆在眼前。用户和投资者们是我的战友和伙伴，是伴我一起开辟CyWorld崭新未来的同行者。
